About VERA

Vera Zolotareva is a Russian fashion designer based in Egypt for more than two decades. Formally trained in fashion design in Omsk, Russia, she built her experience across couture, costume design, tailoring, and womenswear, including work within professional opera and ballet productions alongside international artistic teams.

Her foundation in pattern-making, garment construction, fabric behavior, and refined finishing has shaped a career devoted to clothing that is not only beautiful, but thoughtfully engineered. Over the years, Vera has created bespoke garments for private clients and public figures, earning trust through precision, carefully selected materials, and meticulous attention to detail.

Today, Vera personally directs the design, fit, construction, materials, and finishing standards behind the VERA brand. Her philosophy is simple: the true value of a garment lies in how intelligently it is designed, how naturally it moves, how comfortable it feels, and how carefully it is made.

VERA brings this depth of atelier knowledge into a modern online collection, created in standard sizes with selected designs offering personalized length. It is fashion for women who value individuality, elegance, comfort, and craftsmanship they can see and feel.

The Story Behind Vera

From Russia to Egypt, discover the journey that shaped Vera’s approach to fashion, craftsmanship, and design.

A personal journey through fashion, culture, and the experiences that eventually made Egypt home.

From Experience to the VERA Atelier

  • Thoughtful Design
Every piece begins with a clear purpose, not just a trend.
  • Precision in Fit
Proportions, movement, and comfort are considered from the beginning.
  • Carefully Selected Fabrics
Materials are chosen for feel, drape, durability, and finish.
  • Atelier-Level Finishing
Construction and finishing are treated as part of the design, not an afterthought.

Fabric Selection

Vera personally selects fabrics for their feel, drape, quality, and the way they will perform in the finished garment.

Finishing Details

Natural pearls and carefully selected accessories add the final layer of character, refinement, and individuality to each design.

Pattern & Proportion

Precise measurements and thoughtful proportions shape every design before the first cut is made.

Design Development

Each piece begins with an idea, refined through sketching, construction, and attention to how it will move and fit.

Pattern & Cut

Precision begins with the pattern. Each piece is measured, shaped, and cut with careful attention to proportion and balance.

From Pattern to Form

Each design is carefully constructed to preserve its intended shape, movement, and refinement.

Fabric Shaped by Expertise

Fluid fabric becomes structure, volume, and movement through precise draping and controlled construction. The sculptural silhouette reveals not only a design vision, but a deep understanding of how fabric behaves.

Pattern Mastery, Made Visible

The sharply defined waist and uninterrupted vertical line are built into the pattern itself. Achieving this balance without stiffness or distortion requires trained cutting, controlled seams, and a precise understanding of proportion.

Skills Shared, Futures Built

Beyond her own work, Vera volunteers her time and expertise to help women and young girls learn sewing, develop practical skills, and create an honest path toward financial independence.

Recognized by Fashion Education

Invited by specialized colleges and their academic leadership, Vera attends graduate fashion shows to support emerging designers and engage with the next generation of fashion talent.
